What's it like on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil?

December 18, 2017 | By Admin What's it like on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil?

Now officially known as the Region Dents du Midi, named after the iconic range of seven peaks that tower over the Portes du Soleil, the Swiss side of the domain offers a different experience to its French neighbours. Generally quieter, with more open pistes and traditional villages, it’s well worth a trip over. If you don’t have a full PDS pass you can buy and extension. Resorts include Les Crosets, Champery, Champoussin, Morgins and Torgon. Access is often easier than its French counterparts as you can get to Champery directly by train from the airport in Geneva. The most famous run is the legendary Swiss Wall rated the fifth hardest run in the world in a recent survey.
